I admittedly do not know much about the competitive fighting scene, and I honestly don't want to. I looked up the basic archetypes for this meme on the internet and I just know they prefer any stage that's flat and any character that isn't S-tier is garbage, so if you're not playing as Fox McCloud and using Omega Mode on every stage, you're playing Smash wrong. Reminds me of when I actually rewatched Pokemon Rusty (One of the few actually decent things Dorkly made) and they made fun of EV trainers with a song about how EV training sucks the fun out of everything. "Exploiting the game, 'cause you don't have a life!"
Personally, I don't put that much thought into how a player functions competitively, and I only focus more on the basics of "Sonic is fast because Sonic. Bowser is big, so he's slow but powerful. Bayonetta's a crummy character so she's broken. Steve's knees don't work, so he can't jump high." While the rest of my focus is on having fun using whatever moves look cool and feel good. I'm not a tactical player, I'm a weird one. Sometimes, in Epic Mickey, I tried taking advantage of Mickey's health and how he jumps when he falls in the Thinner to try and jump to the other side of the pool without having to jump through all the tiny platforms. My bro says that's actually a speedrunner tactic, funny enough. Speedruns are so weird.
My bro also said that F.L.U.D.D. was also a bit advanced a move for Mario, who's meant to be beginner-friendly. I guess this would mean Mario is the Shoto of Smash Bros.. I personally never knew what to do with F.L.U.D.D. in a fight. Unless your opponent is in front of some spikes or lava, all he does is push them back. My bro said that's actually good for zoning.
